At the centre of this modernisation was the building of The Skyline Pavilion a vast “circus tent” construction packed full of fun and fantasy. The beauty of this fantastic venue is that, no matter what the weather is doing, Butlins can still entertain their customers from morning ‘til night.

All areas of the venue were covered for voice alarm including Administration buildings, Shops, Restaurants, Ice rink, Theatre, Gaming Rooms, Bowling Alleys. and Swimming pools. Penton were therefore, pleased to be involved, through Sound Distribution Services of Horley, with the supply of loudspeakers for the voice alarm systems throughout the whole Bognor Regis complex.

Speakers Used:

24 x MSH30/TC (voice alarm standard BS5839 part 8 ) music quality horn loudspeakers were installed to give the clarity of speech required to meet the Rasti figures.

103 x SENTRY6/STC Metal cabinet loudspeakers
42 x SENTRY6/BDTC Bi-directional Metal cabinets
20 x PH20/TC Weatherproof Horn loudspeakers

All loudspeakers supplied were manufactured to meet BS5839 part 8 voice alarm standard.

Penton were asked to provide the loudspeaker placements for this project and we are very pleased to say that the system was approved by the local fire authority on first inspection. As a result of the success of this venue Penton were also asked to complete the same for Butlins’ other sites in Skegness and Minehead.
